What can THE i-STREAM VAN do?
Using up to 5 cameras, it can shoot any event, record those cameras individually or as a vision mixed feed …. or both.  It can send that feed to monitors at the event or can encode on site and stream the pictures to the www…

Who supplies the crew?
THE i-STREAM VAN comes fully crewed; we know what we need; let us know if you have any specific requests.

Is it an OB TRUCK?
No, the clue is in the name, it’s a van, working space for two people; it performs some of the functions of an OB, but is to outside broadcasting what an ice lolly is to a 99.
We can arrange ob trucks (99’s) from www.observe.ie

Do I have to work in a cramped van all day?
No, if it suits we can take all of the kit out, put it in a porta cabin, hotel room or whatever and park the van in the car-park…problem solved, stretch out those legs.

But I can work in the van as well?
Absolutely

What is streaming?
Streaming is video pictures “encoded” for the www and sent there via

Drawbacks?
If a lot of people hit your site you need to make sure it doesn’t fall over, we can advise.

How does it get to the web?
We send it via satellite

So is it a satellite uplink truck?
Not as powerful as a sat truck which sends video to broadcasters, THE i-STREAM VAN sends “encoded” pictures to the web. The i-STREAM VAN is to a sat truck what an ice lolly is to a cone. We can get a sat uplink truck from www.digitalspace.ie

What sort of cameras are in THE i-STREAM VAN?
Up to 5 HD XDCAMs, but they record SD as well.
These are serious broadcast HD cameras, RTE have recently adopted the XDCAM as its camera format of choice.

What about sound?
Pretty basic set up, but everything you need for simple sound for broadcast or web cast.

Do you record music?
If you want to record a gig with full music CD sound, then you need to get a music sound crew to work with us.

Do you have a jingle
Yes , play our movie to hear it.
